Cheese rolls that melt in your mouth. Not only while they are warm, but also when they cool down. Light, soft, tasty.
Cheese rolls, ingredients:
- 900 g flour
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- 1 spoon of salt
- 1 spoon of sugar
- 20 g of yeast
- 3,5 dl of milk
- 2 dl of water
- 2 dl oil
To coat the dough (roughly):
- 100 g softened butter/margarine/fat
For the filling:
- 500 g of cheese
- 2 eggs
For the ending:
- 1 egg
- sea salt, cumin, flax, sesame
Rolls with cheese, preparation:
- Combine yeast, a spoonful of flour, sugar and a little milk.
- Leave the mixture in a warm place for about 15 minutes.
- Pour the flour that you have combined with the baking powder and salt into the mixing bowl.
- Make an indentation.
- Pour in the added yeast, the rest of the milk, water and oil.
- Knead a smooth dough.
- Pack the container well and let the dough double in size.
- For the filling, combine cheese and eggs.
- When the dough has risen, divide it into two parts and roll each part into as large a rectangle as possible.
- Coat with fat, cut into the desired number of triangles (approx. 20)
- Put a teaspoon of cheese and twist the rolls.
- Arrange them in a tray, brush with beaten egg, sprinkle with seeds and sea salt (optional)
- Leave them to rest for about 20 minutes and bake them in a heated oven at 220 degrees C for about 20 minutes.
Notes:
- Instead of milk, you can use yogurt.
- And instead of plain water, carbonated water.
- If you choose sparkling water, leave out the baking powder.
Cheese rolls prepared in this way are still soft the next day.
