Cheese rolls - Vesna Pavlović - Recipes and Cookbook online

Cheese rolls.

Cheese rolls, ingredients:

For the dough:

  • 180 g of yogurt,
  • 1 glass of carbonated mineral water,
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar,
  • 1 teaspoon of salt,
  • 1/2 cup oil,
  • 2 eggs,
  • 20 g of fresh yeast,
  • 700 g of flour.

For the filling:

  • 300 g of cheese.

For coating and sprinkling:

  • 1 egg yolk,
  • if necessary, sesame.

Rolls with cheese, preparation:

For the dough:

  • Pour flour into a deep bowl, add salt and mix. Then add yogurt, carbonated mineral water, crushed yeast. Mix oil, eggs, sugar and knead the dough.
  • Cover with a clean kitchen towel and leave to rise.
  • Knead the resulting dough on a floured work surface and roll it into a large circle with a rolling pin.
  • Cut into triangles. Put 1 teaspoon of cheese on each triangle and roll up the rolls. Cover the tray with parchment paper and arrange the prepared rolls. Cover them with a clean kitchen towel and let them rest for 15 minutes (heat the oven to 200 degrees just for that time).
  • Coat the rolls with beaten egg yolk, sprinkle with sesame seeds and bake at 180 degrees for 30 minutes.
  • Take the finished rolls out of the oven, cover them with a clean kitchen towel and leave them to cool.
  • Serve the rolls and serve.

Tip: keep yogurt at room temperature for at least half an hour before use (do not use it cold - from the refrigerator). Measure oil and carbonated mineral water with a yogurt glass. Instead of fresh yeast, you can use dry yeast (10 g) - you will definitely get very tasty rolls. Pleasant!
