Kitnikes.

Kitnikes, ingredients:

  • 2 kg of quince
  • 1,2 kg of sugar
  • 1 lemon (juice)
  • 400 ml of water

Kitnikes, preparation:

  • Wash the quinces, clean the seeds and cut them into smaller pieces, do not peel them.
  • Put in a pot, cover with water and lemon juice and cook.
  • When all the water evaporates from cooking, the quinces will soften. Mix them with a stick mixer, add sugar, return to the stove and mix at a moderate temperature until the mixture thickens well.
  • Pour into molds or a baking tray and leave to harden.
  • Remove from the pan, cut into smaller pieces and leave to dry.
  • Enjoy the taste.
