Koh from grits – another must-have recipe for moms and all those who love simple and quick treats.
Kohl's is part of my childhood menu and something my husband and I adore, and it's so quick to prepare that you just wish you didn't make anything more complicated 🙂
Koh od griza - Ana Vuletić - Recipes and Cookbook online
Koh, ingredients
- 6 spoon of sugar
- 7 spoons of semolina
- 6 eggs
Topping:
- 1 vanilla sugar
- 0,5 liters of milk
- 2 spoons of sugar
Koch prepares:
- Beat the foamy egg whites with a mixer. Add the sugar and beat with a mixer until combined.
- Add egg yolks and semolina to the egg white foam and mix with a spoon to combine the mass.
- Do not use a mixer because you can break the foam, and then you will not get the desired result when baking.
- Pour into a deep tray and put in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 10 minutes or until it gets a nice golden color. Keep in mind that the dough will rise a little.
- In a saucepan, heat the milk mixed with vanillin and regular sugar.
- When you take the koh out of the oven, pierce the koh slightly with the tip of a fork and then pour milk over it and let it sit for a while so that the koh absorbs the milk. Pour evenly over the pot, don't pour it all in one place because you can make a hole in the dough. Realistically, it won't hurt the taste, but it may bother you visually. Serve in small bowls.
- Pleasant.
