Cake with jam.

Cake with jam, ingredients:

  • 2 cups of sugar,
  • 2 glasses of sparkling mineral water,
  • 2 cups of flour,
  • 1 bag of baking powder,
  • 3 spoons of jam.

Cake with jam, preparation:

  • Using a hand whisk, combine sugar, carbonated mineral water, add flour, mixed with baking powder. Then, stir in the jam and mix everything with a hand whisk to combine all the ingredients.
  • Line a medium-sized baking sheet with baking paper, pour the prepared mixture and bake in a well-heated oven at 180 degrees for 30 minutes.
  • Remove the finished cake from the oven.
  • Cover with a clean kitchen towel and leave to cool.
  • Cut the cake into cubes (or pieces of the desired size), serve and serve.

Tip: you can sprinkle the cooled cake with powdered sugar. Measure sugar, carbonated mineral water and flour with a 2 dl glass. Use the jam of your choice. Sweeten yourself with this treat on fasting days. I make sure to make it when I save for Communion.
