Cake with petrovach apples - Verica Poznanović - Recipes and Cookbook online

Cake with petrovacian apples - it is made from Petrovac apples and is served on the great Serbian holiday Petrovdan, which is celebrated on July 12.

Cake with petrovacia apples, ingredients:

  • 4 smaller apples, (petrovache, if you have it),
  • 100 g of margarine,
  • 3 tablespoons of jam to taste,
  • 3 haha,
  • 250 g of flour,
  • 2 vanilla sugar,
  • 100 g of sugar and
  • 1 baking powder.

Cake with petrovacia apples, preparation:

  • Beat eggs with sugar, add softened margarine, flour, vanilla sugar, jam and baking powder.
  • Pour the dough into a mold, which is well greased with margarine. Press as many whole apples as will fit into the tray.
  • Heat the oven to 180 degrees and bake the cake for about 35 minutes.

If you like, you can cover the cake with chocolate glaze or just powdered sugar.
