Cherry cake.

For years, cherry trees grew and gave birth in our yard. This year, the cherry tree did not bear fruit. In our village, fruits are planted in front of almost every house, mostly cherries and apples, and you can also find the occasional mulberry. I walk down the street, stop in front of every cherry tree, pick a couple of cherries, and by the time I make a circle to the house, I'm full. And if someone saw me picking cherries, no one would say anything to me, because some pick cherries, some don't, no one lives in some houses and so on.... I made a cake with cherries, picking cherries, one in a bag, two in my mouth...

It rained all day yesterday, they were washed, and even if they weren't, no one cares. As children, we picked cherries on the way home from school, we came home smeared with cherries... It was a beautiful time.

As for painting the cake, my son would say, the cake is not bad to the eye, but bro, the way you painted it is as if you were advertising that old-fashioned crocheting from the last century, you sprinkled powdered sugar on top, the cake is barely visible.

Wait until I taste what it's like. One two three four…. well, it's not some... It's not, and you're already eating the fifth and sixth in your hand....

Cake with cherries, ingredients:

  • 300 g of cherries,
  • 240 g of marmalade, (I had a mixture of pineapple and papaya, the jar arrived from Mauritius, if I had put any other the effect would have been the same)
  • 3 eggs,
  • grated zest of one lemon,
  • 2 vanilla sugar,
  • 250 g of flour,
  • 1 dl of oil,
  • 100 g of sugar and
  • 1 baking powder.

Cake with cherries, preparation:

  • Beat eggs with sugar, add grated lemon zest, vanilla sugar, marmalade, oil, flour, vanillin sugar and baking powder.
  • Pour the dough into a mold lined with baking paper. Scatter cherries on top.
  • Heat the oven to 180 degrees and bake the cake for about 35 minutes.
  • Those who like cake can cover it with chocolate glaze or just powdered sugar.

I separated a small part of the dough and baked it in a small old-fashioned pan, of course I spread the cherries on top.
