The most widespread traditional folk dance in the entire territory of Serbia - round it is inscribed on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

The Intergovernmental Committee for the Preservation of Intangible Cultural Heritage made the decision to register the car on the UNESCO list, an extremely vital element of the intangible cultural heritage of Serbia, today, at the 12th regular session held on the island of Jeju, in South Korea.

"The inscription of the car on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity is a great success for Serbian culture and will greatly contribute to making this segment of cultural heritage more recognizable and visible in the world. In the coming period, activities on the preparation of nomination files will be intensified so that as many elements of our rich cultural heritage as possible can be found on the UNESCO lists and so that Serbia will be covered to the same extent as our neighbors, because Serbian culture certainly has something to offer", it is stated in announcement of the Ethnographic Museum.

Also, the registration of the element to its bearers, especially young people, enables them to understand the importance of their own tradition and to devote themselves to the preservation of the element and their own intangible cultural heritage.

As a very widespread game in the current game practice of Serbia, the oldest versions of which (moravac and kukunjesh) were recorded in the territory of central Serbia in the second half of the 19th century, kolo is an element of intangible cultural heritage that is distinctly present in various spheres of life in Serbia today. It is performed at private and public gatherings, family and collective celebrations, with the participation of all community members, regardless of ethnic, religious and generational affiliation.

As the first element from Serbia, in November 2014, on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, Family Glory was entered, and in the adoption procedure for 2018 there is a proposal for the entry of the element Singing with the fiddle.
