Italian companies in Serbia, members Confindustria, the association of Italian industrialists, donations and humanitarian initiatives help local communities, institutions and citizens in Serbia during the pandemic.
Italian companies, members of Confindustria Serbia, continue to operate responsibly even during the coronavirus pandemic, implementing numerous measures to support the healthcare system of the Republic of Serbia, institutions, the economy, but also directly to the population. Italian companies thus additionally prove that they are firmly tied to Serbia, where they do business.
Guided by exactly such a mission and goals, on Tuesday, April 14, the Italian company La Linea Verde which operates in Dobrinci in the municipality of Ruma, donated 8 tons of its products, i.e. ready-to-use packaged salads is worth about 5 million dinars. According to the director of this company Simone Apollonius, this initiative implemented in cooperation with the Provincial Secretariat for Social Policy, implies delivery of salad to the Clinical Center of Vojvodina as well as to 20 student and volunteer centers in Vojvodina who will prepare food packages for pensioners and vulnerable citizens.
They showed an act of responsibility towards the community in the previous period since the beginning of the pandemic and Italian companies that operate in Serbia in the textile industry sector. These Italian companies have devoted part of their production capacity to manufacturing non-medical protective masks. From Subotica to Niš, via Valjevo and Jagodina to Kikinda, Italian companies so far they have produced and donated tens of thousands of protective masks municipalities, police administrations, the population, but also for the needs of employees in local companies that prioritize the safety of employees at this critical moment. Company Aunde donated protective masks to members of Confindustria Serbia, a Olympias Knitting has prepared specially designed protective masks for the executive team of the Confindustria office in Serbia.

UniCredit Bank Serbia, one of the 170 members of Confindustria, which gathers Italian companies that successfully do business with us, in the desire to support the fight against the pandemic, donated 50.000 euros to the Republic Health Insurance Fund, equivalent to dinars.
The same fund is a company Nelt, also a member of Confindustria, donated 240.000 euros for the purchase of 10 respirators for the treatment of the most severe forms of disease caused by the Covid 19 virus. A Neoplanta as a form of dedicated aid to the population of Serbia during the pandemic, donated goods worth 6.000.000 dinars as part of a package for the aid action for 173.000 citizens of Belgrade over the age of 65 with the lowest pensions.
DDOR insurance, a long-term partner of Konfindustrija, donated a total of 11 million dinars to help republican and provincial institutions, as well as the City of Novi Sad for support in the fight against COVID-19.
Confindustria member – Transfer donated protective masks and disinfectants to the Institute for Maternal and Child Health Care "Dr. Vukan Čupić", while the company Lanzi Group donated 1000 waterproof medical coats to Mauriziano Hospital in Turin.
One of the leading insurance companies, also a member of Confindustria, Generals Osiguranje Srbija wanting to further protect its clients in these extraordinary circumstances, decided to extend free coverage in case of illness caused by the Covid-19 virus to clients who have a small and medium-sized business insurance policy and to clients who have life insurance. The company showed its solidarity and desire to help the citizens of Serbia by donating funds for the purchase of medical equipment needed to prevent the spread of the corona virus by donating funds for the purchase of ventilators, tests for the corona virus, reagents and other medical equipment needed during the pandemic.
