COMPETITION FOR THE BEST SALČIĆ OF SERBIA - salčići, Gvozdena Živković.

Sauces, ingredients:

  • flour, 500 g
  • two yolks
  • one whole egg
  • 4 tablespoons of oil
  • grated lemon peel
  • 200 g sour water, cold
  • 200 g of ground lard

Salčići, preparation:

  • Mix half a kg of flour with two egg yolks, one whole egg, 4 tablespoons of oil, grated lemon peel and 200 grams of cold sour water.
  • Roll out the crust and spread with 50 grams of minced lard.
  • After coating, sprinkle the lard with flour.
  • Fold, the left side towards the middle, then cover the left with the right.
  • Lower side towards the middle, then cover the lower side with the upper side.
  • Wait ten minutes and repeat.
  • Coat like this 4 times.
  • Then leave it covered with cling film for 2 hours in the fridge.
  • After that, roll out the crust, cut around all four sides, and cut the salcici as desired.
  • Heat the oven to 250 degrees, place a baking sheet, after 10 minutes reduce the temperature to 200 degrees and bake. Be careful not to burn.

  1. I HAVE BEEN MAKING SALČIĆ FOR A LONG TIME, ACCORDING TO DIFFERENT RECIPES, THIS RECIPE IS THE BEST FOR ME.
    Salčići are very tasty and stay fresh for several days. They can be frozen, later they only need to be heated very briefly in the microwave or wrapped in aluminum foil in the oven of any stove
