COMPETITION FOR THE BEST SALČIĆ OF SERBIA - salčići, Rada Bogojev.
Sauces, ingredients:
- 250 g of ground lard at room temperature,
- 30 g flour for lard,
- 1 tablespoon of vinegar,
- 300 g of flour + 2 tablespoons as needed,
- 15 g of fat,
- 1 egg,
- 100 ml of white wine,
- a little salt
- jam filling,
- powdered sugar.
Salčići, preparation:
- Add vinegar and 30 g of flour to the lard, mix.
- Leave aside.
- Add fat, egg, salt to 300 g of flour and slowly pour in the wine. Knead a medium soft dough.
- Divide the fat into 2 x 1/4.
- Roll out the dough and cover with 1/4 of the fat. To fold, to coat. Leave in the fridge for 30 minutes, wrapped in foil.
- Repeat everything and leave 1 hour in the refrigerator.
- Roll out thinly and cut out the shapes.
- Bake in a hot oven at 200 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes.
- Sprinkle with powdered sugar when cooled.
