Egg baskets and bacon sticks, preparation:

  • Take the bread for toast and cut off all the edges (crusts) so that you get sticks and the middle remains in the shape of a square.
  • Take a tray and put baking paper on it. Then cut the piece of bacon in half lengthwise and wrap the stick you made from the crust in the bacon separately. Place in the oven to bake for about 15 minutes at 200c.
  • The bacon should be crispy when it cools.
  • Take a muffin tin. Brush the bottom with butter or spray with oil spray. Then arrange 6 pieces of squares in the center of the toast.
  • Beat one whole egg and brush each piece of toast.
  • Put in the oven for 10 minutes to get color.
  • Remove from the oven and crack an egg into each piece of toast. Add salt as desired.
  • Return to the oven and bake for about 15 minutes until the egg whites are set but the yolk should remain runny.
  • Remove the baskets and serve with bacon sticks.

The chopsticks can be dipped in egg yolks - a proven winning combination.
