Croissant muffins - Gvozdena Živković - Recipes and Cookbook online

Croissant Muffins - I promised myself a long time ago that I would make this beautiful and delicious pastry. Today I fulfilled my promises, I am completely satisfied with the taste and appearance.

It takes a little more time, but it's worth it, believe me

Croissant muffins, ingredients:

  • 600 grams of flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1, 2 dl of milk
  • 1 dl of water
  • 4 spoons of sugar
  • 1 level teaspoon of salt
  • 250 g butter
  • 1/2 cube of fresh yeast

Croissant muffins, preparation:

  • Pour milk and water into a bowl, heat a little, add sugar, stir until it dissolves. Add the crumbled yeast, mix everything to dissolve the yeast. Beat the egg in a separate bowl, then add it to the previous mass.
  • Mix a teaspoon of salt into 500 grams of flour. Add the milk and yeast mixture to the flour. Knead by hand, half way through mixing add 50 grams of butter and continue mixing, adding the remaining flour. When the dough does not stick to your hands, cover the dough and let it rise for 1/2 hour.
  • When the dough rises, knead it and divide it into 8 parts.
  • Shape the noodles, cover them with a napkin, let them rise for 15 minutes.
  • Roll out the dough rectangles with a rolling pin, dust them with flour and arrange them one on top of the other. Turn them over and the one you developed first, develop it again to a size of 30 x 15 cm.
  • Divide the remaining butter into 8 equal parts. Brush each developed crust with butter.
  • Roll the coated crust into a roll. Repeat the process with all 8 noodles.
  • Arrange them on a floured tray.
  • Cut each roll in half lengthwise. Grease the muffin tin with butter.
  • Form a rose from each half, making sure that the cut side is on the outside, so that they spread out during baking. Arrange them in a greased mold. Cover with a napkin and let it rise for fifteen minutes.
  • During this time, turn on the oven at 220 degrees. When it heats up and the muffins rise, put them to bake.
  • Bake them for fifteen minutes. When they are nicely browned, take out the tray, let them rest a bit.
  • Arrange them on a tray-tray, sprinkle the powder with sugar, to which you add 1 bag of vanilla sugar.
  • Serve yourself and enjoy the beautiful taste of these croissant muffins.
