Croissants with smoked cheese.
Croissants with smoked cheese, ingredients:
- 1/2 liter of milk
- 1 cube of yeast
- 2 whole eggs
- 2 cups (from black coffee) oil
- 2 spoons of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 kg of flour
To coat:
- 250 grams of margarine or 200 grams of butter
- 1 egg
For the filling:
- 150 grams of smoked cheese
Croissants with smoked cheese, preparation:
- Add sugar to lukewarm milk and dissolve it, then add yeast and dissolve it. Then add the eggs and beat to combine the mass.
- Add salt to the sifted flour and mix everything. Knead the dough with the previously prepared mass.
- Divide the dough into 5 equal noodles.
- Melt the margarine. Do not wait for the dough to rise, but immediately roll out the first noodle as thin as possible.
- Spread it with melted margarine, cut it into 12 triangles, add a piece of cheese to each triangle and wrap the croissants.
- Line a tray with baking paper and arrange the rolls. Repeat the same with the other 4 noodles.
- You will get 60 croissants from this dough.
- Beat the whole egg and coat the rolls. Cover with foil and leave in a warm place to rise.
- Heat the oven to 180 degrees. Place the risen rolls in the oven and bake for 15 minutes.
- Take out the tray and once again coat the baked rolls with melted margarine. Return to the oven and bake for another ten minutes.
- When they are nicely browned, take them out of the oven, cover them with a cloth napkin, wait for them to cool down a bit and "push". They can stay fresh for a few days if overcooked.
