Donuts.

Donuts, ingredients:

  • 3 dl of water
  • 2 eggs
  • 50 gr of oil
  • 50 g of sugar
  • yeast
  • grated rind of 1/2 lemon
  • flour as needed to get a softer, not sticky dough

Donuts, preparation:

  • Dissolve the yeast in a little warm water with a teaspoon of sugar and a teaspoon of salt, add 1-2 tablespoons of flour and let it rise.
  • In a mixing bowl or a wider bowl where you will knead the dough, pour water, oil, eggs, grated lemon peel, add 1 teaspoon of sugar and 1 teaspoon of salt, pour in the yeast and mix everything slowly, adding flour.
  • Knead a medium-soft dough, neither very soft nor hard, and let it rise.
  • Then mix it, then leave it to rise again.
  • Then prepare a tablecloth and sprinkle some flour on it, and roll out the dough to the thickness of a finger.
  • Then, take out a glass with sharper edges or a mold for donuts, which you have to buy at the market, to take out the donuts.
  • Arrange the donuts on a tablecloth and leave for about 10 minutes, then turn them over to the other side.
  • During this time, pour a lot of oil in a small pan and fry the doughnuts.
