Donuts - Verica Poznanović
- 400 ml milk
- 50 ml of oil
- 42 g of yeast
- 2 whole eggs
- 1 spoon of sugar
- a bit of salt
- 700 g flour
- Add yeast, sugar and a little salt to lukewarm milk, then oil, eggs and flour and mix well with a pressure cooker. The dough will be soft and stick to your hands. Sprinkle with a little flour, then cover with a cloth and let it rest for about 30 minutes until the dough doubles in size.
- Flour the table, then shake out the dough. It will be sticky, but when you knead it with a little flour, it won't be any more. Sprinkle with flour and roll out the dough to a thickness of 1 cm.
- Take it out with a chisel.
- Sprinkle flour on the trays or the table where you will arrange them.
- When you cut the doughnuts, knead the rest of the dough again and roll it out again and cut the doughnuts.
- Cover the donuts with a cloth and let them rest for 20 minutes.
- Heat a lot of oil or fat, I put 700 ml on medium heat. Make sure it's not too strong and not too weak.
- Lower the donuts into the heated oil, the side that was up now goes down and vice versa.
- Be sure to cover until turning.
- When the bottom side is golden brown, unfold and turn the doughnuts over.
