Cabbage with bacon - a delicious dish, with wonderful colors, aromas and flavors.
- 6 pieces of bacon (cut into strips)
- 1 piece of onion (large head)
- 2 cloves of garlic (chopped)
- 1 piece of cabbage (head)
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon of pepper
- 1 teaspoon of onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 0,125 teaspoon red ground pepper
- olive oil
- In a large pan, heat a little oil on medium heat and fry the bacon until it becomes crispy (about 10 minutes).
- Add chopped onion and garlic. Fry until the onion is caramelized (about 10 minutes).
- Add the chopped cabbage and simmer for another 10 minutes.
- After that, add the spices – salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder and red pepper. Mix well.
- Reduce the temperature to a minimum, cover the pan, stir occasionally and let it simmer for about 30 minutes. Serve warm.
