Cooked bagels recipe from an old cookbook.
- 0,5 kg of flour
- dry yeast
- 0,25 l water (lukewarm)
- 3 pieces of eggs
- 50 g margarine
- so
- sugar
- Separate the yolks from the whites. Beat the egg yolks.
- Mix one dry yeast in 1/4 liter of lukewarm water, add one teaspoon of sugar, and let the yeast rise.
- In a mixing bowl, add flour, 2 egg yolks, margarine and a pinch of salt. Add water with yeast (when it comes) and mix everything well. Roll out the dough with a rolling pin. Cut the stretched dough into thicker strips and make a circle out of them.
- Heat water in a wide pot and let it boil. Place the bagel in boiling water, and as soon as it floats, arrange it on a well-greased baking sheet. Coat the bagels with the remaining egg yolk and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake in the oven, heated to 220 C, until they get a golden brown color. Leave to cool and serve.
