Flax bread it looks more like a savory cake than bread. Bread made with baking powder is always a savory pie for me.

Since I use it as bread, I had to christen it that way. In addition to flax seeds, flax bread also contains flour. I quickly prepared the bread from the ingredients I had. I am satisfied with the results. The taste of flax dominates in this bread, regardless of the fact that it also contains flour.

Flax bread, ingredients:

  • 100 g ground flax
  • 120 g of wholemeal flour
  • 100 g flour type 850
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 220 ml of water

Flax bread, preparation:

  • Pour all the ingredients into the mixing bowl and knead the dough.
  • Knead until all ingredients are combined.
  • This dough is a little firmer, but don't worry because that's exactly how it should be.
  • If it spreads, it is not homogeneous, add a few more tablespoons of water.
  • Form the bread in a mold or tray.

Bake the flax bread for 15 minutes at 150 degrees and ten minutes at 200.

Note:

The dough must not be soft because in that case the bread will be mushy. Since it is a tougher dough and the bread is prepared with baking powder, I first bake it at a lower temperature so that it bakes evenly, i.e. in order not to remain alive in the middle.
