Hazelnut caramel balls - Kristina Gašpar
Hazelnut caramel balls - a true delight for hazelnut lovers.
Ingredients for the balls:
- 150 g of sugar
- 1 dl of water
- 10 g of vanilla sugar
- 80 g of margarine or butter
- 150 g ground hazelnuts (roasted)
- 150 g of ground biscuits
Frosting:
- 100 g of chocolate
- 4-5 tablespoons of water
- 1 teaspoon of margarine or butter
- Caramelize the sugar at a lower temperature until it gets a nice golden brown color. Add water and cook at a low temperature for about 5 minutes. Add hazelnuts and margarine/butter.
- Stir until the butter melts. When the mixture has cooled, add the biscuits.
- Leave the mixture to cool in the fridge, then shape into balls.
- Dip them in chocolate glaze and decorate with roasted hazelnut kernels.
You can also make these balls with peanuts.
