Hazelnut caramel balls - a true delight for hazelnut lovers.

Ingredients for the balls:

  • 150 g of sugar
  • 1 dl of water
  • 10 g of vanilla sugar
  • 80 g of margarine or butter
  • 150 g ground hazelnuts (roasted)
  • 150 g of ground biscuits

Frosting:

  • 100 g of chocolate
  • 4-5 tablespoons of water
  • 1 teaspoon of margarine or butter
  1. Caramelize the sugar at a lower temperature until it gets a nice golden brown color. Add water and cook at a low temperature for about 5 minutes. Add hazelnuts and margarine/butter.
  2. Stir until the butter melts. When the mixture has cooled, add the biscuits.
  3. Leave the mixture to cool in the fridge, then shape into balls.
  4. Dip them in chocolate glaze and decorate with roasted hazelnut kernels.
You can also make these balls with peanuts.
