Summer bruschetta (Italian: bruschetta, bruschette) are a summer variant of the popular Italian appetizer. However, with a little imagination, bruschetta can be anything: breakfast, lunch, dinner, appetizer, main course.

The original version of bruschetta is toasted bread, smeared with a piece of garlic, soaked in olive oil and salted. Then, fresh basil, fresh chopped tomatoes, garlic, beans, minced meat, various types of cheese are added to the bread... Italians classify bruschetta as an appetizer, a type of antipasti.

They are prepared very quickly, in 10 to 15 minutes, and disappear from the plate very quickly.

  • 15 pieces of baguette slices
  • olive oil (if needed)
  • 1 handful of basil leaves
  • 1 handful of flaked almonds
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • salt (to taste)
  • pepper (to taste)
  • 100 ml ketchup
  • mozzarella
  • cherry tomatoes
  1. Coat the baguette slices with oil and toast them in the oven or on a pan.

  2. Chop basil, almonds, garlic, salt and pepper in a chopper.

  3. Pour ketchup over each slice of baguette, put a teaspoon of the basil mixture, a piece of mozzarella and a cherry tomato.
