Puff pastry - a pastry that is hard to resist! It can be beautiful even in a square tin!

for the dough:

  • 2 dl of milk
  • 4 dl yogurt
  • 1 piece of egg
  • 1 piece of egg white
  • 2 cubes of yeast
  • 2 spoons of sugar
  • 3 teaspoons of salt
  • 1 kg of flour

for coating:

  • 1 piece of yolk
  • 3 tablespoons yogurt
  • 20 g of sesame
  • 200 g of margarine
  1. Mix the yeast with lukewarm milk. Add yogurt, sugar, salt, eggs and knead the dough with the flour. It takes longer to knead the dough until bubbles start. The dough does not rise. Immediately divide it into 8 balls. grate margarine on each one. Put one on top of the other. Do not coat the back of the crust. Roll out a large crust from all the parts. Cut the rectangles with a rolling pin to about 8×4 cm and use them for flower petals.

  2. Cut each rectangle 2 cm in the middle and wrap it 3 times on one side like a braid up and on the other side down.

  3. Make longer strips from the dough that you twist in the shape of a roll and pack as you choose. Cut one roll into rhomboids and roll it irregularly.

  4. Beat the egg yolks with yogurt. Brush the cake with a brush and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
    Allow the dough to rise for 30 minutes. Bake in a heated oven at 200 C until golden brown.
    Enjoy the wonderful taste of puff pastry.
