Leafy stars - Adilja Hoxha
Leafy stars - sourdough stars, sprinkled with sesame, cumin and poppy seeds.
- 700-800 g of flour
- 1 packet of yeast
- 1 teaspoon of sugar
- 1 spoon of salt
- 350-400 g of small cheese
- 2 eggs
- 1 dl oil
- 100 g margarine
- 1 dl of water
- 2 dl of milk
To coat:
- 1 egg
some more
- Sesame
- Kim
- mak
- Add a teaspoon of sugar to lukewarm water and dissolve the yeast.
- Let it stand for ten minutes.
- Add lukewarm milk to the yeast, then flour mixed with salt, eggs, oil and finally cheese. Mix all the ingredients and knead the dough.
- Leave the dough covered for about an hour in a warm place to double in size.
- Knead the resulting dough and roll it out with a rolling pin.
- Finely chop half of the margarine, separate the dough and roll it up, then separate again and add the remaining margarine.
- Roll out the dough to a thickness of 1 cm and cut out stars with a mold.
- Arrange in an oiled pan. Brush with egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds, cumin and poppy seeds. Let them rest for another ten minutes and bake in a heated oven at 250 degrees until golden brown.
