Listici - this is an old-fashioned delicacy that is made in Vojvodina whenever you want something quick, simple and tasty. It does not require many ingredients, everything is always at hand, and they are on the table in no time.
- 300 g of soft flour
- 2 pieces of egg
- 1 heaped tablespoon of lard
- 0,5 tsp salt (flat)
- 1 teaspoon of sugar
- 1 tablespoon rum (or brandy)
- 100 ml water (lukewarm)
- oil (or fat for frying)
- powdered sugar (for sprinkling)
- Knead the dough from eggs, flour, salt, sugar, rum or brandy, and water.
The dough is firmer, something like that for noodles for soup, let it rest for a while, about 10 minutes, separate it and sprinkle melted fat on it.
Fold the dough as for puff pastry, leave for about 10 minutes and spread it thinly.
Cut rhomboids with a kitchen wheel, cut through the middle. - Heat a mixture of fat and oil in a deep pan, put one leaf at a time in the hot fat,
spoon it from all sides with hot fat to raise the caps,
turn the other side and fry until golden. - Take out the fried leaves on absorbent paper, cool a little, add sugar and enjoy.
