Monastery potatoes - the souls of good people smell like basil, I really like the smell of basil, especially when I rub its leaf between my fingers, and I also like its flower.
Basil the Orthodox Church, Hindus and many other nations attribute divine power. It is used for religious ceremonies, but also as a medicinal plant and as a spice. Due to the useful ingredients and pleasant smell, the following are used: stem, twigs, leaves and flowers.
Monastery potatoes, ingredients:
- 1 kg of potatoes,
- 150 ml of olive oil,
- 8 cloves of garlic,
- basil to taste
- 5-6 bay leaves,
- salt and pepper to taste,
- 200 ml of water and
- 1 lemon.
Monastery potatoes, preparation:
- Heat the water until it boils, then add the salt. Cut the potatoes into slices, then transfer them to the dish in which you will bake them.
- Chop the garlic and add to the potatoes.
- Add the bay leaf, basil and pepper.
- Pour it all over with the water in which you dissolved the salt and olive oil. Mix everything, then bake in the oven for about twenty minutes at 250 degrees (until the water evaporates), then bake for another twenty minutes at 200 degrees.
- Remove the potatoes, cover with the juice of one lemon. Return it to the oven for a few more minutes and serve.
