Fat puff pastry - Marija Milošević - Recipes and Cookbook online

Fat puff pastry.

Fat puff pastry, ingredients:

  • 1 kg of flour
  • 20 g of dry yeast
  • 1 dl oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 2,5 dl of water
  • 2,5 dl of milk
  • 200 g butter
  • 1,5 teaspoon of sugar
  • 2 teaspoons of salt

Fat puff pastry, preparation:

  • Add salt to the flour and mix well to distribute the salt evenly.
  • Pour lukewarm water, sugar and yeast, mix gently and let the yeast activate.
  • Add two eggs and oil.
  • Stir a little and then pour warm milk. Combine everything with a welder. Continue mixing with your hands.
  • When the dough is kneaded, let it soak for 45 minutes.
  • Then divide the dough into 3 equal parts.
  • Separate each part into a rectangular shape.
  • Spread 1/4 of the butter on each part.
  • Roll each part into a roller.
  • Coat the pan with butter. Line the bottom of the pan with parchment paper and coat it with butter.
  • Make a braid out of three parts of the dough.
  • Put the braid in a pan and coat it with one beaten egg.
  • Leave to rise for 30 minutes.
  • After that, put the rest of the butter on top.
  • Bake for 20 minutes at 180 degrees C.
  • Then cover with foil and bake for another 15 minutes.
  • After that, uncover and bake for another 15 minutes until golden brown.
