At the 16th International Meeting of Gastronomy in Istanbul, the students of the PMF from Novi Sad achieved remarkable results, winning two gold and three silver medals, announced Tourist world.
2.100 competitors from 30 countries gathered in Istanbul, competing in 75 categories. The patrons of the competition were the Gastronomic Federation of Turkey and the World Culinary Association (WACS), and during the four days, the event was visited by more than 30.000 people. The judges were professionals - chefs from all over the world - Japan, Korea, Italy, Slovenia, Germany, China, Poland, Czech Republic, Dubai, Macedonia, Pakistan, Malta, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mongolia...
Thanks to the Faculty of Science, the Department of Geography, Tourism and Hospitality and the Provincial Secretariat for Higher Education and Scientific Research, a delegation of students and teachers of the Faculty of Science and Technology participated in this prestigious international competition and achieved excellent results.
Marko Aćimović and Maja Banjac won gold medals in the "pasta/junior" category, and Goran Radivojević won a silver medal in the same category, as did Maja Šimunovački and Miloš Kuzmanović in the "meat dish/seniors" category.
