In order to support the hospitality industry during the pandemic, METRO Cash & Carry launched a global campaign promoting food ordering and home delivery instead of going to facilities. And in Serbia, the company through supports the promotion caterers who deliver and invites consumers to support their favorite restaurants by ordering. The action takes place under the slogan #give yourself a break in the kitchen, in as many as 18 countries where METRO provides the opportunity to show solidarity with our fellow citizens who work in the hospitality industry, a sector of the economy that has suffered exceptional losses since the beginning of COVID-19. consequences for the wider environment and the economy. In this way, during the holidays, people can change their routine, take a break from preparing, and at the same time help employees in the catering sector.
