Belgrade, October 11, 2016 - During METRO's "Own Business Day", 20.174 entrepreneurs around the world presented their special offers to users. Cafes, restaurants, hotels and other small business owners in Serbia joined the celebration with as many as 280 offers that they prepared for their guests. Celebrating this day, METRO honored the permanent dedication of these entrepreneurs in business, and the daily effort they invest in the relationship with their users.
The first Day of own business was held in all the countries in which METRO operates, and catering establishments that are not part of the METRO Cash & Carry system also had the opportunity to participate. The company's intention is to establish an annual global event that will take place every second Tuesday in October, with the aim of giving special recognition to its own business and to support entrepreneurs in building a strong network with others who share the same passion.
