This year, the National Museum of Zrenjanin is also participating in the event "Museums of Serbia, ten days from 10 to 10", which is being held for the third time this year. The event "Museums of Serbia, ten days from 10 to 10" takes place from May 11 to 20, and the Zrenjanin National Museum and Zrenjanin Contemporary Gallery will have additional programs during that period and will be open to the public from 10 a.m. to 22 p.m. every day , while the European Night of Museums will be celebrated on the last day of the event from 17:01 p.m. to XNUMX:XNUMX a.m.

Participants in the Night of Museums are: National Museum Zrenjanin, Contemporary Gallery Zrenjanin, Cultural Center Zrenjanin, National Theater "Toša Jovanović", City Public Library "Žarko Zrenjanin", Historical Archive Zrenjanin and Concept bar and restaurant "Kafemat".

  • Thursday, May 11 at 19 p.m. - Salon - opening of the exhibitions "Blessed are we children that we are so small - Childhood in a traditional family" and "Children's Museum"

In the Salon of the National Museum of Zrenjanin on Thursday, May 11, starting at 19 p.m., the exhibition of the Ethnological Department will be officially opened Blessed are we children that we are so small - Childhood in a traditional family. The goal of the exhibition is to present the culture from this area in a narrow thematic manner, and in that segment which is the most important for the extension of the human lineage, which is raising a child. The authors of the exhibition and its accompanying catalog are Branka Babić, curator-ethnologist and Rajka Grubić, MA, museum advisor.

The exhibition consists of objects and photographs from the collections of the National Museum of Zrenjanin, but also from other museums in Vojvodina. On this occasion, the baby's first clothing items will be exhibited - a cap, beanie and shirt, as well as household inventory intended for the youngest members of the household, while one part of the exhibition will be dedicated to toys and children's games.

The second segment of the exhibition is the "exhibition within an exhibition". It is in question Museum for children, guest exhibition of the Museum of Vojvodina from Novi Sad. The exhibition is the result of the collaboration of a group of authors consisting of Lidija Balj, museum advisor-archaeologist, Tatjana Bugarski, senior curator-ethnologist, Slađana Velendečić, curator-pedagogue and Aleksandra Stefanov, curator-art historian. The toys in the "small museum" present various areas through which children learn about the world around them: nature, everyday life and various social phenomena. Experts in museums who take care of cultural heritage also research these areas. The responsible curators in the Zrenjanin museum are Branka Babić, curator-ethnologist and Nevena Dujin Grković, curator-pedagogue.

 

  • Tuesday, May 16 at 19 p.m. - Salon - Evening dedicated to the anniversary - 130 years of bowling in Zrenjanin

The sports history department of the NMZ is celebrating together with bowling clubs, competitors and legends of this sport, the jubilee - 130 years of bowling in Zrenjanin. Siniša Onjin, curator-historian of the National Museum of Zrenjanin, Irena Kalocaj, former competitor and sports worker, Duško Popadić, secretary of the bowling club "Banat", Bosiljka Božić, secretary of the bowling club "Kristal", and Goran Ostojić, an active athlete, will speak at the anniversary celebration. and those present will be greeted by Jelena Gvozdenac Martinov, acting director of the Zrenjanin museum.

 

Since "Guest Museum" is the theme of this year's manifestation "Museums of Serbia, ten days from 10 to 10", the guest of our museum is the Museum of Vojvodina with the exhibition "Museum for children", and the National Museum of Zrenjanin will be the guest of the City Museum in Vrbas presenting itself with an exhibition of objects from all departments, with a presentation about the museum and a concert by a rock band from Zrenjan.

  • 30:XNUMX - Small salon - opening of the exhibition of children's illustrations "Ida Ćirić"

An exhibition of children's illustrations titled "Ida Ćirić" will be opened in the Small Salon of the NMZ on the occasion of the European Night of Museums.

Ida Ćirić (1932–2007) was an important Serbian illustrator for children. Apart from illustration, her interests were book fittings, collage and papier-mâché objects. She illustrated more than 50 books, numerous book covers and illustrations for magazines. She has received 12 national illustration awards. She organized six solo exhibitions.

For the first time, the Zrenjanin audience will be presented with over 100 illustrations made with felt-tip pens, washed-out douches and collage techniques, and among the exhibited works will be illustrations published in the famous children's magazine "Poletarac". The responsible curator is Dušan Marinković, senior curator-photographer.

 

  • 21 p.m. - permanent exhibition XNUMXst floor - legacy of Uroš Predić - lecture "A vision in the clouds under the magnifying glass"

This year marks 160 years since the birth of the painter Uroš Predić and 130 years since the creation of his famous painting "Vision in the Clouds", which is kept in the National Museum of Zrenjanin. On this occasion, in the Night of the Museum, we will remind the visitors of this symbolic play, which Predić himself described in detail, wanting to present a bitter criticism of life, people and their conflicts. Based on these explanations, senior curator Sanja Vrzić made a reproduction of the painting with all the figures and phenomena mentioned by Predić, and Olivera Skoko, senior curator-art historian, will bring visitors closer to the significance of this extraordinary work through a story.

 

  • 17:01 - XNUMX:XNUMX - permanent exhibition XNUMXnd floor - naturalist exhibition "Under the surface of the sea"

Visitors will be presented with a part of the objects from the Ichthyological collection (fish collection) of the NMZ within this camera installation. The ichthyological collection of the Natural History Department of the Zrenjanin Museum was created in 1978, from material taken from the former Higher Pedagogical School from Zrenjanin - Biology Department, and was intended for practical training of students. The collection consists of 48 dermoplastic, 2 liquid and one osteological preparations, and has exclusively museological value. In the Museum's Night Frame, the public will have the opportunity to see a part of this collection that represents fish characteristic of the deep sea. The author of the installation is Nataša Knežević, senior curator-biologist.

 

  • 17:01 - Hall - Exhibition "Art posters from the Museum's past (1945–1964)"

The exhibition will present posters from about twenty exhibitions and lectures organized by the Art Department of the NMZ, which were held in the old Museum building near the Great Bridge in the period from 1945 to 1964. Some of them represent an important historical document, such as the poster from the "Exhibition of Living Vojvodina Artists" from 1945, because it is the earliest recorded temporary exhibition in the history of our Museum, while others represent good typographical, artistic and design solutions. All the posters together depict the spirit of a time and the Museum's communication with the audience of that time. The author is Dejan Vorgić, an art historian.

  • 18–19h - Atrium - Museum playroom "I'm going outside!"

The playroom is dedicated to ages 6 to 10 and in it children will have the opportunity to play "schools", "marblers", "lastish"... as well as try and learn the traditional game of "buttons" in the Atrium of the museum. The author of the playroom is Nevena Dujin Grković, curator-pedagogue. The managers of the playroom are Nevena Dujin Grković and Ivana Arađan, art curator-historian.

 

  • 19:21-XNUMX:XNUMX - Atrium - Archaeological and conservation workshop "Mosaic art"

Through this workshop, visitors will have the opportunity to become familiar with the technique of making mosaics. The workshop is suitable for children aged 5 to 12, who will have the opportunity to express their artistic freedom and transfer their ideas to the creation of their own mosaic through improvised methodological approaches. The workshop is fun and educational. The authors of the workshop are: Aleksandar Šalamon - volunteer, archaeologist curator, Tatjana Petrović - operational technologist for conservation, Olivera Starčević - technician, Ana Kostadinović Nemet - volunteer, graduate artist-painter, and Tamara Spasojević - volunteer, graduate artist-painter .

 

  • 19:20-XNUMX:XNUMX - Small salon - Art workshop "What kind of lion?" A terrible lion!”

The topic of the workshop is illustrating Duško Radović's poem "The Terrible Lion". The activity is intended for children and young people, the material for drawing is felt-tip pens, which Ida Ćirić, through her illustrations, made for the first time an equal means of artistic expression. The author of the workshop is Nevena Dujin Grković, curator-pedagogue. The leaders of the workshop are Nevena Dujin Grković and Ivana Arađan, art curator-historian.

  • 17:XNUMX - Atrium - Joint concert of the Choir of the Gerontological Club and the Choir of the musical entertainment center "Collegium"

On the occasion of the Night of the Museum, two Zrenjanin choirs will present a joint concert: the Chorus of the Gerontology Club (under the technical guidance of Danica Đorđević) and the Choir of the musical entertainment center "Kolegium" (conductor Sanja Popović).

 

  • 19:XNUMX - Salon - Concert by students of the Music School "Josif Marinković" Zrenjanin - where students from lower and secondary schools from the percussion, string and brass sections, accordion and solo singing sections, as well as chamber ensembles, will present themselves.

 

  • 20 p.m. - Atrium - "SuperNova and BigBeng" Choir Concert

The choir festival "Slobodan Bursać" within the "Night of the Museum" event presents another Zrenjanin choir with the aim of popularizing and affirming choral singing. This time the "SuperNova i BigBeng" choir is performing under the baton of professor Marko Pejčić and accompanied by rock musicians from Zrenjan. The organization and technical realization of the concert is entrusted to KulturKick creative production, the Cultural Center and the National Museum.
