Lasagna is a traditional Italian dish. The recipe for lasagna and the preparation of this dish, due to its exceptional taste, have become part of international cuisine. This recipe is a version where macaroni is used.

  • 500 g of macaroni
  • 1 piece of red onion
  • 500 g beef (minced)
  • 700 g of spaghetti sauce (canned)
  • 200 g of edam cheese (cut into sheets)
  • 3 dl of cream
  • 200 g of mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons parmesan cheese (grated)
  • olive oil

  1. In a large pot, pour water and salt. Cook the macaroons "al dente", ie. cook a little shorter than that, according to the instructions on the package. Macaroni must not be uncooked.
  2. Clean and finely chop the red onion. Heat a little olive oil in a pan and sauté the red onion for a few minutes. Add ground beef and spaghetti sauce and simmer for about 15 minutes. Add a little salt and pepper.
  3. Preheat the oven to 175 C.
  4. Grease the baking dish with a little butter. First make a layer of macarons, using half the quantity. Then arrange the edamame leaves, and a layer of sour cream on top. Pour half of the meat mass and sauce over the sour cream. Then go the remaining half of the amount of macaroni, then the shredded mozzarella cheese, and finally the rest of the meat and sauce mixture. Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over everything. Bake in the oven for about 30 minutes. Cover the top layer with aluminum foil, so that it does not burn.
  5. Serve the macaroni lasagna warm on a large plate, garnished with fresh parsley leaves.
