Jovan Tomović is the best in the "Black Box" discipline
Belgrade, May 10, 2016 - At the recently held prestigious international culinary cup in the Romanian city of Iasi, a young chef Jovan Tomovic from Serbia, won as many as seven medals and a cup. The success is all the greater because Jovan (17) competed in the senior categories, which are intended for professional chefs over the age of 25.
"We hope that the success achieved by our young colleague Jovan will be a significant incentive for further progress in the profession and that we as a company will continue to be there for all young talents in the future, providing them selflessly with our help," said the head of Metro Horeca Center Uroš Urošević, where In recent years, Jovan has been doing professional practice.
Jovan Tomović competed in Romania, together with about 150 competitors from all over the world, Greece, Cyprus, Korea, Bulgaria, Albania, Italy, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Sweden, Tunisia, Poland, Israel, Palestine and others, in the most difficult culinary discipline "Black A box". The teams had the task of preparing dishes from unknown ingredients and all this under the strict eye of judges from the World Association of Chefs and the World Association of Master Chefs. Showing his immense talent, Jovan thus won a gold medal and a trophy for a pork dish, a silver medal for a fish dish and a bronze medal each for a chicken dish and a vegetarian meal. That collection was enriched by another gold, silver and bronze medal each, for a team performance with students of the Higher Business School of Vocational Studies from Leskovac, in the categories of national Serbian table, wedding cake and restaurant desserts.
