The Swiss Embassy presented its specialties
Belgrade, November 30, 2015 - The cycle of the METRO & CPG cooking school this season continues under the name - "Diplomatic Edition", in which foreign embassies in Belgrade present their specialties. The second country that presented its national specialties was Switzerland.
The METRO Horeca Center hosted the ambassador of Switzerland, Jean Daniel Rucha, who together with his friends presented some of the traditional dishes of this beautiful country, under the baton of Uroš Urošević, head chef of the Metro Horeca Center, and Miša Jeverica, the embassy's chef.
Switzerland is known for its top-quality cheese, and accordingly a cheese pie was served as a welcome, very tasty with a fine texture, similar to our gibanica. Poached trout was served as an appetizer, and lamb stewed with saffron was served as the main course, along with delicious potato patties. For all those with a sweet tooth, the dessert "strifles" with vanilla cream has been prepared, which completes the menu from the Swiss climate, in which the traditions of German, French and Italian cuisine are interwoven.
The company, along with delicious food, was enriched by the wines of the Tikveš winery, this time Grenache Blanc and Alexandria Couve white.
The METRO Cash & Carry Serbia cooking school is organized with the support of the licensed culinary magazine "Jaime" published by the Color Press group. The aim of the Cooking School is to popularize gastronomy in Serbia and introduce the specialties and flavors of the world's most famous cuisines.
