Wafers with peanuts – super wafers!

Wafers with peanuts - Zuzana Grnja

  • 4 large wafers
  • 2 dl of milk
  • 300 g of ground unsalted peanuts
  • 100 g of ground biscuits
  • 1 dl of orange juice
  • 250 g of margarine
  • 100 g of cooking chocolate
  • a little oil
  • 300 g of sugar
  1. Pour the orange juice over the biscuit, mix with the peanuts and set aside.
  2. Boil milk and sugar in a suitable container. Reduce the temperature and cook for another 4-5 minutes.
  3. Then add the peanut and biscuit mixture and stir.
  4. Beat the margarine until foamy, then combine with the lukewarm filling and beat well.
  5. Stack the wafers one on top of the other and cover each one with the filling. The top should remain unfilled.
  6. Press the wafers with a heavy object and let them set.
  7. Melt the chocolate at a low temperature with a little oil, then pour it over the top wafer.
  8. When the glaze hardens, cut it into cubes.
