After the triumph at Tasmajdan more than 10.000 viewers, The Regional Children's Philharmonic and the "Deca Deci" Foundation held a gala concert in the Sava Center on January 26 in front of an enthusiastic Belgrade audience.
The repertoire of the concert was adapted to the youngest audience, and the program included, in addition to the classical repertoire, recognizable numbers from cartoons, as well as film classics. The conductor was our renowned artist and pedagogue, founder of the orchestra Camerata Serbica and Lola classic, Ljubiša Jovanović.
The concert opened with the song "Zvončići" performed by the Choir of the Belgrade Children's Cultural Center under the baton of Nevena Ivanović, and the leading pair were Minja Subota and Ana Sofrenović, who also performed a number from the movie Mary Poppins during the concert.
One of the guests was the actress Jelena Gavrilović, who performed a number from the Disney cartoon "Frozen", and the special guest was the artist Miloš Nikolić.
The program alternated with compositions by De Falja, Staus, Sarasate, as well as music from the films Pirates of the Caribbean, Star Wars, etc. - that is, music for everyone from 5-105 years old, with a few surprise tracks for all Belgraders.
With this concert, the Children's Philharmonic and the "Deca Deci" Foundation began celebrating the tenth anniversary of their founding, thereby announcing a rich program and project "Year of Music".

About the activities of the Regional Children's Philharmonic and the "Deca Deci" Foundation
Founder of the Regional Children's Philharmonic, whose members are child musicians from cities in the region; In Zagreb, Skopje, Ljubljana, Sarajevo and Belgrade is the "Deca Deci" Foundation, which will also present its youth orchestra with this concert, formed during the previous decade of work, which will perform side by side with the Regional Children's Philharmonic. Promotion of music education, youth creativity, as well as cultural exchange among the youngest through attractive music programs, are just some of the goals of the "Deca Deci" foundation and the Children's Philharmonic. The members of the children's orchestra are talented students of lower music schools, winners of awards at prestigious domestic and international competitions, while the youth orchestra is made up of the first generations, who are already in high schools and at prestigious music academies. Some of them are long-term users of the instruments of the "Deca Deci" foundation, which thus helps their education and professional development. During 2016, a series of new projects was launched, such as the "Summer Pop up concert hall of the Children's Philharmonic" in the squares of Serbian cities, as well as the summer tour of the region "Philharmonic on Wheels" with the desire to bring classical music closer to the youngest and leave conventional music spaces. The crown of the first part of the 2016 season, after the successful concerts in Ljubljana and Zagreb as part of the summer tour, was certainly the concert at to the packed Tasmajdan stadium within the "Night of Music" event, which was held in front of more than 10 spectators.
