The third festival of dough, pasta and bread TESTIVAL #3 was held during the past weekend in Dorćol Platz

TESTIVAL – WHERE DOUGH BREATHES AND SMELLS!

Association TESTIVAL and Dorćol Platz hosted the Festival of Dough, Pasta and Bread TESTIVAL #3, during the past weekend. The theme of the workshops of this TEST #3 was VANILLES, because vanillas are one of the most popular cakes in Serbia, and back in 2015, they were declared the best holiday cake in the world.

At TESTIVAL #3, many dishes were sold and tasted, which are rarely found on our tables: mixed bread with dried fruit, fusile tricolore, buckwheat and carob bread with walnuts, homemade crusts baked on the stove, prijici with dried porcini mushrooms, pie with cottage cheese, fruit tart, Noah's ark cake, truffle tortellini, samsa, red corn flour, rolls with cream cheese, organic pasta with spelled, rolls with cheese. Among the products "in love with dough", the following stood out: pumpkin flour (flour made from pumpkin seeds), butter with the addition of concentrated red bermet wine, white bermet dessert wine, apple spread, chokeberry, cinnamon and Dušan's blackberry wine.

During two TESTING day, apart from the sales exhibition of over twenty-five exhibitors of domestic, artisanal prepared products, on an improvised stage, visitors and all present enjoyed interesting workshops.

TESTIVAL partner for education, Metro HoReCa Center and Junior Chefs Club, led by Dr. Milicom Aleksić, manager, and Nebojš Veselinović, head chef of the HoReCa center, showed their high professionalism, preparing various types of shortbread, and a special surprise was the salted shortbread and salted vanilla cakes. Everyone who tasted these delicacies was surprised by the intense flavors and aromas of the master of his craft.

A traditional inclusive workshop was also held in cooperation with The MNRO Association and the Association Živimo ženje from the municipality of Stari Grad. The young students listened with great attention to their mentor, Dejan Ilic, vice-president of the TESTIVAL Association, to learn how to knead vanilla beans in four steps.

Tanja Vujičić, Tanji's cakes and Milica Bosnić, Perfection, revealed their secrets of making vanilla ice cream. Dejan Ilić and Miodrag Ilić presented part of the food culture and tourist offer of the city of Vranje and the Tourist Organization of Vranje, preparing samsa, a traditional pie from the Vranje region. Tourist organization Vranje was a special guest of TESTIVAL #3.

The most attended workshop on the second day of TESTIVAL was about noodles, dough with the taste of the East. Dejan Ilić, a professional chef, prepared two dishes: one with beef and one with chicken, based on noodles, with the idea of ​​bringing this Eastern dough specialty closer to all local pasta lovers. With practical preparation, step by step, and with the use of local ingredients and spices, which are present in every kitchen, Dejan prepared two nutritionally quality meals in just 20 minutes.

KUD Dimitrije Koturović, thanks to partner assistance Folklore magazine, magnified the ceremonial opening with their performance: the female singing group sang the old Šumadija song "Idu kola preko polje", and the folk dance ensemble presented itself with a mix of "Games from Šumadija, choreographed by Slobodan Prokić.

The workshop was hosted by Uroš Bogdanović, the author of many radio and multimedia content, many of which have won awards.

Šabac Dairy provided gifts for the first visitors on both days, as well as gift packages for all workshop participants. Wai Wai noodles Serbia have prepared special gifts for all visitors.

TEST #3: CHAMPIONS

He was the patron of the selection of the best and awarding of prizes Faculty of Hotel Management and Tourism in Vrnjačka Banja, University of Kragujevac.

Two independent and separate juries struggled to choose the best from the great exhibitors and products.

The title of BEST EXHIBITOR #3 went to Stepanov agricultural holding. At the awarding of the valuable diploma, the jury pointed out that PG Stepanov stood out from the other, equal candidates, not only with the top-quality workmanship and quality of his products, but also with his investment in the development of his brand.

For the best dough product the exhibitor's tortellone with truffles was selected Marco Polo pasta.

For the best product "in love with dough" butter with the addition of concentrated red wine Bermet, the exhibitor, was chosen Heavens.

Visitors, mostly families, satisfied exhibitors, proud organizers from the TESTIVAL Association as well as the great champions of TESTIVAL #3 announce an even better next edition. And next time, something completely different - the topic of the workshop will be SALČIĆI!
