Philanthropy Conference
In Novi Sad, in the amphitheater of the Central Building of the University of Novi Sad, on April 01, 2015, the International Conference on Philanthropy - BUILDING A CULTURE OF CHARITY was held.
The conference was organized by "Biznisnova - center for proactive business from Novi Sad and "School of Business Skills" -Students organisation "Business Development Network" from Belgrade with the support of the American Embassy.
Within the conference, 11 presentations of active philanthropic programs were held with the aim of developing the culture of philanthropy in Serbia.
One of the speakers was Ryan Rowlands, adviser to the US ambassador in Belgrade, who emphasized hospitality in Serbia as a valuable potential for the development of the culture of philanthropy and supported the organization of such conferences as a step in the direction of creating the world in which we want to live.
At the conference, the current and future philanthropic programs of the Delta Holding Foundation, the Podrži život Foundation, Erste Bank ad, and the Trag Foundation were presented; associations "DEBRA", National Organization for Rare Diseases of Serbia, BELhospice and Hemofarm.
An extremely successful lecture on fundraising was given by the founder of the consulting firm Development Marketing Associates, which has collected over a billion dollars in donations for its clients. Jerry Twombly. Twombly emphasized the importance of creating and preserving relationships and partnerships in the process of realizing his own vision, and announced a one-day training in this area that he will hold in the fall in Serbia and other neighboring countries.
The conference was realized in cooperation with the UNESCO Chair, the EUinfo point - the information center of the EU Delegation and the association Marita Western Balkans.
