The recipe for the Confiture omelet may seem strange to some people... How to pair an airy omelet with jam?

  • 1 egg (large)
  • 1 spoon of milk
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 tablespoon of butter
  • 1 tablespoon fruit jam (1-2 tablespoons)
  • 0,5 spoons of powdered sugar
  1. Separate the yolks from the whites. In a mixing bowl, add the milk to the egg yolks and whisk well. In another mixing bowl, beat the egg whites until thick. Add the foam from the egg whites to the beaten egg yolks, very lightly mixing (turning) so that the mass does not lose its airy character.
  2. Heat a pan to a moderate temperature. Melt the butter in a pan and pour in the egg mass. At a moderate temperature, simmer the eggs for about 3 minutes. The temperature must not be high and the omelette must not get brown edges. Shake the pan and gently separate the omelette and turn it to the other side. Also, stew the other side of the omelette for about 3 minutes.
  3. When the omelette is ready, transfer it to a suitable plate. Spread the fruit jam in the middle of the omelette along its entire length. Seal lightly and sprinkle with powdered sugar. Serve immediately after baking, while the omelette is still warm.
