Vanilla orange - Kristina Gašpar
- Necessary ingredients for the dough:
- 250 g of flour
- 125 g of butter or margarine
- 1 bag of vanilla sugar
- 100 g of sugar
- 1 egg
- grated zest of half a lemon
- File:
- 100 g of oranges with peel (unpeeled)
- 100 g of sugar
- 1 dl of water
- juice of half a lemon
- Frosting:
- 100 g of chocolate
- 5 spoons of milk
- 1 tablespoons of butter
- For the dough, make flour, sugar and butter well. Add egg and water and knead the dough, then wrap it in foil and let it rest in the fridge.
- Roll out the dough to a thickness of 3 mm and cut out circles of the desired size
- Bake at 150 degrees for 13 minutes.
- For the filling, blend the orange, add water and sugar and cook for about 20 minutes, then add lemon juice and boil for half a minute.
- Join two circles with filling. Leave the vanilla pods to stand for a day in a cool place, but out of the refrigerator.
- Then coat them with a glaze that is prepared by melting chocolate with milk, adding butter and stirring until it melts. Decorate the cakes with pieces of white chocolate.
- Vanilla beans are best when left for at least 2 days.
