An ideal basic recipe for pancakes should allow us to enjoy juicy, soft pancakes that are crispy on the edges. If you have such a recipe, your search is over!

Most children (and adults) would eat pancakes every day. For every meal. And don't be surprised if you hear the statement: "I love you like pancakes!"

Unfortunately, there are very few pancake recipes that meet the requirements to be called "the best" or "ideal". And for that reason, the search continues. But isn't the point in testing and trying... If you have an adventurous spirit, you will always set higher standards and your search for the ideal basic pancake batter recipe will never end. If you are more of a traditionalist, as soon as you come across a recipe that even remotely meets your taste standards, you will certainly not change it again...

Some of you must have your own little secrets of how to make the best pancakes... Someone will tell you that his secret is to beat the eggs separately - first beat the whites into soft snow, then separate the yolks: "There's something about that... My pancakes are the best, and this is the best pancake recipe you've ever tried…”. You will probably hear from the proud hostess, or host.

Don't be surprised by strange combinations, like: "You know what, butter is fine, oil is fine, lard is fine, but I grease the pan with melted bacon grease!" BASIC BATH FOR PANCAKES - HOMEMADE

Basic recipe for pancakes, homemade, ingredients:

  • 250 g of flour
  • 200 ml of milk
  • 50 ml of sour water
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tablespoons of oil
  • a bit of salt

Basic recipe for pancakes, homemade, preparation:

  • Beat the eggs with flour and salt, then pour into the milk and beat well.
  • Add sour water and beat well.
  • From the obtained mass, bake pancakes in a heated pan, which you have greased with a little oil

You will get about 12 thin pancakes from this recipe.

BASIC BATH FOR PANCAKES - AMERICAN

Basic recipe for pancakes, American, ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted
  • 2 and 1/2 cups flour, whole and leveled
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 2 teaspoons of baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons of baking powder
  • 2 cups of sweet cream
  • 1/2 cup milk (whole milk)
  • 2 eggs, separated
  • butter, oil, fat (for greasing the pan)

Basic recipe for pancakes, American, preparation:

  • Heat the butter until it melts. Take it out to cool a little, it must not be hot.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, salt, baking soda and baking powder.
  • Add the sweet cream, milk and melted butter.
  • Separate the whites from the yolks.
  • Beat the egg yolks and add to the other ingredients
  • Beat the egg whites with a fork for about 20 seconds, until they start to form snow. Add the egg white to the other ingredients.
  • Stir gently with a wooden spoon to even it out.
  • Heat a pan over medium heat.
  • When the pan is hot, grease it with a little butter.
  • Grab the dough and measure out half a cup.
  • When bubbles appear on the top side, flip the pancakes. Both sides should be nicely browned.
  • Bake them for 2-3 minutes on each side.
  • Transfer the finished pancakes to the oven, which is heated to approx. 100 degrees C.
  • Repeat the process until you use up all the mass.
  • Serve with various spreads and syrups, seasonal fruits, etc...

From this recipe you will get about 18 pieces of pancakes with a diameter of 10-14 cm.

However, the recipes you can come up with are very different, as are the tastes. And the tastes are not worth discussing. As well as people, tempers and habits. But do you have the same problem? No matter how many pancakes are baked, there are always not enough?!

  1. The introduction that accompanies the recipe is excellent as are the recipes. We all have our own recipe, so do I, and some are published on your page. My mother always put milk in the dough. My nachi with hot water proved to be the best and most economical. I have tried many recipes but, as our people say, mine is mine and for me the best. I also add vanilla sugar to my pancakes, regardless of whether it will be a savory or sweet spread. I learned that from my daughter, who ran a pancake shop and everyone was clamoring for her pancakes. I only stole that part from her recipe and I didn't regret it. I have come across comments to the effect of who saw that vanilla sugar is put in pancake batter, especially if the filling is salty. I could not defend my choice, but you should try to criticize.
