Shepherd's pie (or shepherd's pie), my grandmother's recipe in my version.

Shepherd's pie, ingredients:

  • 15 tablespoon flour
  • 1 cup of sour milk
  • half a cup of oil
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1 tablespoon of salt
  • 1 egg

Shepherd's pie, preparation:

  • Put flour with baking soda in a bowl, add oil and sour milk. Knead a fine, smooth dough so that it does not stick to your hands.
  • Spread the scones on baking paper.
  • Mix 2 tablespoons of cold water with 2 tablespoons of milk and coat the whole cake.
  • Use the blunt side of a knife to press the cubes into the cake.
  • Put a little salt on each cube.
  • Bake in the oven for 30 minutes at 180 degrees.

My grandmother did not have blue salt to put on the scones, she always used regular fine salt, and I put blue salt, because I wanted to present my grandmother's recipe in my own way. When the shepherds left home, the women would wrap their breakfast in paper. That paper was made of jackfruit flour. I didn't have that kind of paper, but I found a similar one. Breakfast was a small cake, a head of onion, a little salt and some dried meat and the obligatory small bottle of homemade brandy. And in the purse was a flute for the shepherd to play.
