Cherry jam - Jelena Nikolić - Recipes and Cookbook online

Cherry jam.

Cherry jam, ingredients:

  • 1 kg of cleaned cherries
  • 500-600 g of sugar
  • 1 bag of vanilla sugar

Cherry jam, preparation:

  • Wash, clean and weigh the cherries. Put them in the pot in which they will be cooked, sprinkle with sugar (a row of cherries, a row of sugar).
  • Cover the pan and put it in the refrigerator for 3-4 hours, so that the cherries release their juice a little.
  • Cook at a moderate temperature until the liquid boils and the mass becomes thick, when it is removed on a plate so that it does not spill. Stir occasionally. Towards the end of cooking, add vanilla sugar and mix with a mixer, reduce the temperature a little and stir constantly with a blender until the end of cooking.
  • Put the dry and clean jars in the oven, turn it on at 100 C. After 30 minutes, take them out, leave them to cool for a few minutes, then pour the warm jam into the hot jars. Turn off the oven. Put the full jars back inside for 15 minutes, then take them out, close them tightly, wrap them in a towel and leave them to cool.
  • Enjoy the taste!

I cook jam from 2 or 3 kg of cleaned cherries.
