Chicken stew with dumplings - it is known that various stews are often prepared in Vojvodina, sometimes with potatoes and sometimes with dumplings or knuckles.
Whatever meat you choose, I usually choose beef or chicken, you will get a delicious dish that your household will enjoy eating. It will happen that you will eat the dumplings first, but there are enough of them here, because I made them from 2 eggs.

It is known that various stews are often prepared in Vojvodina, sometimes with potatoes and sometimes with dumplings or knuckles. Whatever meat you choose, I usually choose beef or chicken, you will get a delicious dish that your household will enjoy eating. It will happen that you will eat the dumplings first, but there are enough of them here, because I made them from 2 eggs.
- 4 pieces of drumsticks
- 1 piece of onion (finely chopped)
- 1 piece of carrot
- oil (a little)
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1 spoon of sweet paprika
- herb seasoning (to taste)
- water (if needed)
Dumplings:
- 2 pieces of egg
- 2 tablespoons of oil
- 1 tablespoon of water
- 2 spoons of semolina flour
- 4 tablespoons flour
- salt (little)
- Fry finely chopped onion in heated oil until it becomes glassy. Add the chopped carrot, drumsticks and fry everything briefly while turning the drumsticks so that they are lightly browned.
- Add 1 cup of water, reduce the temperature to medium and in a covered pot, with occasional addition of water if necessary, stew the meat until it is tender.
- Make a cold sauce by mixing flour and paprika, adding a little cold water and adding it all to the stew. Add water to soak the drumsticks and, when the dish boils, use a small spoon to drop the pre-beaten dumpling dough.
- Cook the paprika for another 5-10 minutes until the dumplings float to the surface.
Serve the stew warm with a seasonal salad.
