Chicken Stew with Noodles - Recipes and Cookbook online
Recipe for chicken stew, a delicious dish from our grandmother's cookbook.
- 1,2 kg of chicken (1,2 - 1,5 kg)
- 2 heads of onion
- 2 pieces of pepper
- 2 pieces of carrots (2 pieces)
- 2 pieces of tomato
- 1 teaspoon of allspice

- 1 pack of noodles
- fresh parsley (chopped)
- Chicken without entrails, clean and wash well, and leave to drain. Cut the chicken into smaller pieces.
- Put a little oil in a large pan and add finely chopped onion. Fry the onion for a few minutes. When the onion is ready, add the chicken. Stew the chicken meat for 5-10 minutes, until the skin acquires color. Add finely chopped pepper, carrot and tomato. Add a teaspoon of allspice. Salt and pepper to taste. Simmer for another 5 minutes. Pour water and let it cook on medium heat for about 50 minutes.
- When the chicken meat is ready, take it out and separate the meat from the bones and skin.
- In another pot, cook (al dente) noodles in slightly salted water.
- Return the chicken meat to the stew and add the almost cooked noodles. Cook for a few more minutes at medium temperature. Garnish with fresh parsley leaves. Serve warm.
