Chicken Stew with Noodles - Recipes and Cookbook online

Recipe for chicken stew, a delicious dish from our grandmother's cookbook.

  • 1,2 kg of chicken (1,2 - 1,5 kg)
  • 2 heads of onion
  • 2 pieces of pepper
  • 2 pieces of carrots (2 pieces)
  • 2 pieces of tomato
  • 1 teaspoon of allspice

  • 1 pack of noodles
  • fresh parsley (chopped)
  1. Chicken without entrails, clean and wash well, and leave to drain. Cut the chicken into smaller pieces.
  2. Put a little oil in a large pan and add finely chopped onion. Fry the onion for a few minutes. When the onion is ready, add the chicken. Stew the chicken meat for 5-10 minutes, until the skin acquires color. Add finely chopped pepper, carrot and tomato. Add a teaspoon of allspice. Salt and pepper to taste. Simmer for another 5 minutes. Pour water and let it cook on medium heat for about 50 minutes.
  3. When the chicken meat is ready, take it out and separate the meat from the bones and skin.
  4. In another pot, cook (al dente) noodles in slightly salted water.
  5. Return the chicken meat to the stew and add the almost cooked noodles. Cook for a few more minutes at medium temperature. Garnish with fresh parsley leaves. Serve warm.
