Onion Chicken – today I had several recipes planned, but then it suddenly dawned on me that I could prepare onion chicken.

If your grandmother or mother used to make it, you already know how tasty and sticky the chicken is. As this purchased chicken is not always very tasty, it all depends on the producer and preparation, this time I was surprised how good the dish was. A little more and it tastes like homemade chicken, you know those "walkers" who run around country yards and eat organic food.

You can take the chicken as you wish, I use wing drumsticks because they are quick to prepare and their taste is extraordinary.

Chicken on onion - today I had several recipes planned, but then it suddenly dawned on me that I could prepare chicken on onion.

  • 1 kg of chicken (as desired (drumsticks, wings, white meat...))
  • 100 ml of oil (if needed)
  • 6 heads of onion ((depending on the size))
  • 1 piece of carrot
  • salt (to taste, or a mixture of spices)
  • water (if needed)
  1. Wash and dry the meat so that it is not wet, separate the drumstick from the drumstick, use only drumsticks from the wings and divide the white meat into several parts. Season it well according to your choice and taste.
  2. Heat the oil in a deep frying pan, put the seasoned chicken in it and fry it briefly on both sides until it turns slightly brown and sizzles. Reduce the temperature, add the chopped onion and carrot and stew everything together for about 10 minutes until the onion turns a little yellow. Then pour water to soak all the contents, cover the pan and simmer for about 1 hour at a medium temperature. Turn the chicken occasionally, add more water if necessary, and continue stewing until the meat is nice and soft and all the liquid has evaporated.
  3. Serve the finished chicken still warm with mashed potatoes and a seasonal salad.
