Grilled chicken in Portuguese style, tasty and spicy. The right choice for lunch on warm summer days.
- 2 kg of chicken meat
- 2 pieces of hot red pepper
- 1 piece of hot green pepper
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 60 ml of olive oil
- 2 tablespoons of lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon of sea salt
For attachment:
- lemon slices
- spicy chips
- Buy a chicken without entrails, about 2 kg. Wash well and leave to drain. Cut into small pieces, and leave to drain. With a sharp knife, cut the skin in several places, about 5 mm deep.
- Preparation of the marinade: in a blender or small food processor, add lemon juice, chopped hot peppers, chopped garlic, olive oil and salt. Process several times, until the mass is nicely even.
- Rub the marinade onto the chicken using a brush.
- The grill must be well heated.
- Bake the chicken skin side down first. Bake each side for about 10 minutes, with constant turning and coating with marinade. When the chicken is ready, transfer it to a large plate and wrap it in cling film to rest for 5 minutes.
- Serve the Portuguese-style grilled chicken on a large plate, with lemon wedges and spicy chips.
