Pie with pumpkin and quince - autumn is the right time for pies like this, I tried this combination, nutmeg and quince.
The taste is excellent and we really enjoyed eating it.
Pie with pumpkin and quince, ingredients:
- 12 pieces of pie crust
- 1 kilogram of grated nutmeg
- 2 pieces of larger quinces
- 100 grams of sugar
- 1 dl oil
- 1 cup of sour water
For topping:
- 300 grams of sugar
- 1 dl of water
Pie with pumpkin and quince, preparation:
- Peel the nutmeg pumpkin, grate it on a coarse grater, just wash the quince, remove the seeds and grate it over the pumpkin.
- Sprinkle sugar over the grated pumpkin and quince, mix and wait for them to loosen a bit.
- Coat one crust with a mixture of oil and sour water, place the second crust on top of it, and coat it with this mixture as well.
- On one side of the crust, spread the pumpkin and quince filling in the form of a roller.
- Wrap the crust in a roll and place it on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
- Repeat the process with the other crusts.
- Coat the finished rolls with a mixture of sour water and oil.
- Place in an oven heated to 200 degrees. Bake until the pie is nicely browned.
- Before baking the pie, boil 300 grams of sugar with 1,5 dl of water. It is enough that only the sugar dissolves, add vanilla sugar if you want.
- While the pie is baking, the syrup will cool.
- Pour cold syrup over the baked pie.
Cut the pie into slices and serve, it's delicious and juicy, I hope you like pies like this. If you don't eat it on the first day, it's still very tasty after a few days.
