Turkey or Chicken Pie - Another interesting pie as part of a holiday meal. You can eat it warm, but it is also good cold.

  • 500 g of buckwheat husks
  • 500 g turkey white meat (or chicken white meat)
  • 500 ml sour cream
  • 4 pieces of eggs
  • oil (a little)
  • 1 onion (finely chopped)
  • 1 bag of baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon of bread crumbs
  • herb spice mix (to taste)

To coat:

  • 1 piece of egg
  • 30 ml milk
  1. Finely chop the onion, grind the turkey in a grinder. Separate the egg whites from the egg yolks and whip them into stiff peaks. Combine minced meat with onion, egg yolks, baking powder, sour cream and breadcrumbs, then add spices to taste and mix well to obtain a uniform mixture.

    At the end, add the beaten egg whites and slowly mix with a whisk to combine everything.

  2. Divide the pie crust into two parts. Take one crust from the first one, spray it with oil and cover it with another, and cover it with the filling. Repeat the procedure until half of the crust and half of the filling are used and carefully roll into a strudel. In the same way, form another strudel from the remaining material.
  3. Cover the pan with baking paper and place the strudels. Coat them with a mixture of beaten egg and milk. Bake in a heated oven at 200 degrees until golden brown. Between 30-40 minutes.

  4. Cool the pie and cut it. Serve it still warm.
