Munster cheese is mostly produced in France, in the Alsace region, in the city of Munster, where it is produced, fermented and matured in a local monastery. Munster cheese is produced from unpasteurized (raw) cow's milk. It has a strong taste and soft texture, with 45% fat, and the ripening period is 5 weeks to 3 months. Munster cheese can be replaced in this recipe with any cheese of similar characteristics.

Pie with Munster cheese, for two people. Pie with Munster cheese is a breakfast meal in Dr. Alain Delabeau's chrono nutrition concept, for two people 170 cm tall.

  • 2 circles of puff pastry (diameter 16 cm)
  • 0,5 packs of Munster cheese (half a pack is between 150-200 gr)
  • 10 cl of cream (thick)
  • 1 piece of yolk
  • 2 pieces of potato (small)
  • 2 red onion heads
  • so

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 C.
  2. Remove the rind from half the cheese and cut it into thin slices.
  3. Peel the red onion and chop it finely.
  4. Put one circle of puff pastry on the kitchen board, cover it with half of the potatoes, sprinkle with onions and put a layer of Munster cheese on top, then all the sour cream.
  5. Add salt, pepper, put the rest of the potatoes, cover with another round of dough and coat with beaten egg yolk.
  6. Place in the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  7. Serve warm.
ITS GOOD TO KNOW:This dish can be prepared in the evening for the next day. You should stop baking after 20 minutes. The next morning, it will be enough to leave the pie in the microwave for 3-4 minutes, until it is completely baked and eat it hot.

Note:

These are the amounts calculated for 2 physically inactive persons 1,70 m tall. To determine the portion you are entitled to, cut a piece of pie that corresponds to at least your height in centimeters converted to grams (for example, one portion of 170g for a person 1,70m tall).
