Beer sticks - Jelica Podraščanin - Recipes and Cookbook online

Beer sticks.

Beer sticks, ingredients:

  • 500 g of puff pastry,
  • 250 g of Trappist cheese,
  • 2 eggs,
  • so,
  • flour for sprinkling,
  • sesame and
  • oil.

Beer sticks, preparation:

  • Defrost the puff pastry.
  • Sprinkle the work surface with flour, put the puff pastry and sprinkle it with flour and spread it so that it is about half a centimeter thin.
  • Do the same with the other half of the puff pastry.
  • Beat the eggs, add salt to taste and coat both puff pastry sheets.
  • Grate the cheese and spread it over one melted and coated dough and put another coated puff pastry on top, so that the side that is coated with the egg is over the cheese.
  • Then cut the resulting dough into strips 1,5 cm wide on the short side and in half on the long side.
  • Twist each stick and place it in a pan greased with oil and sprinkled with flour.
  • Coat the sticks with the rest of the egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 250 degrees until tender.

Since they go well with beer, they got the name: beer sticks.
